In 1995, the first Cops and Rodders Car Show was held in the parking lot of Carolier Lanes. The event was then moved to Linwood Middle School as a cruise night. In a very short time the popularity of the show increased; spectator as well as participant attendance grew tremendously so we decided to move the event to Devry, where more than 500 vehicles are expected each and every year.
The show features a variety of cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles for spectator viewing. Each year the show continues to grow in the variety of vehicles on display as well as the number of participants and spectators that attend.
As always we provide the following for everyone’s enjoyment: rides for the young children in attendance, musical entertainment provided by DJ Phil Forti, car-themed accessories which are sold by independent vendors, breakfast food and refreshments and everyone’s favorite a barbecue for lunch time, which is manned by members of the Police Department.
The annual car show is the DRWOF’S main fund raiser for the year and all monies raised during the event are used to assist the families of our fallen officers in the event of their untimely death.
